Paul Affleck was born in Brandon, Manitoba, and completed his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, with a minor in Chemistry, at the University of Manitoba.
Mr. Affleck relocated to British Colombia to attend the University of Victoria Law School. He obtained his Law Degree in 2003, and then moved to Toronto to article with a well-known criminal defence firm that specializes in defending drinking and driving offences.
In 2003, Mr. Affleck was called to the bar. He briefly operated his own law practice and thereafter joined the ranks of a large Toronto criminal defence firm. In 2006, Paul decided to commit his practice to the Durham Region, and he joined John Adamson as an associate at Farquharson and Adamson.
His popularity and success in the courtroom led to his elevation to partner in 2012.
