Ever Imafidon, Oshawa Criminal Defence Lawyer

Ever Imafidon is an associate at Barrison & Manitius, practicing criminal defence.

Prior to joining the firm, Ever graduated with high distinction with a Honours Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Toronto. She majored in Political Science with a double minor in African Studies and Women and Gender studies. Ever earned her Juris Doctor at the Lincoln Alexander School of Law at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson), and was called to the bar.

Motivated by a deep sense of purpose and service, Ever is committed to advocating for people navigating the justice system. During her time at Lincoln Alexander, Ever summered at a leading Toronto criminal defence firm, working on complex criminal trials, and regulatory hearings. She also completed her Integrated Practice Curriculum (IPC) term at the Ontario Court of Justice working with judges in the tri-county region of Peterborough, Lindsay, and Cobourg. Ever co-founded and served as a student coordinator for Lincoln Alexander’s Pardons Clinic, which aids marginalized members of the community to obtain criminal record suspensions. She was the recipient of the Santan and Omega De Mello Community Leadership Award and the Black North Initiative Scholarship in recognition of her leadership and service.

Prior to law school, Ever worked at a non-profit organization and as staff in several roles at the University of Toronto’s Imani Mentorship Program, including as a Student Program Co-Lead. Ever approaches each case with a desire to serve with integrity, humility and zeal.

Ever currently serves on the Advisory Board of the Black Youth Justice Program, and is a member of the Criminal Lawyers’ Association and Durham Region Law Association.
