Samuel Kassirer received his Juris Doctor from Bond University in 2021. In law school, he participated in the Administrative Appeals Tribunal moot in Australia where he and his partner placed first among 32 teams from competing law schools across the country. He later participated as a legal researcher for the Bond team in the Wilson moot on Canadian Constitutional Law. Samuel developed a passion for oral advocacy through these experiences in law school. After returning to Canada, he worked as a law student for two criminal law practitioners in Peterborough while completing his qualification exams with the National Committee on Accreditation. He articled for a law firm in Barrie and was called to the Bar in June 2023.
Samuel grew up in the Durham region where he attended school and played hockey and soccer. He then received his Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Guelph in 2018.
Joining Barrison Law in August 2023, Samuel is excited for the opportunity to be working in and serving the Durham community. He is a member of the Criminal Lawyers’ Association and the Durham Region Law Association.
